Steve & Carol always loved the Oregon Coast. When they discovered the quaint fishing village of Charleston, they fell in love with it, and twenty years ago packed up and moved from Portland, Oregon, to open up a Cafe and Pub of their own. They wanted a casual and cozy place with excellent food – a place where people could feel comfortable without the worry of being appropriately dressed. Just come in and be yourself, whether you are coming in from the beach or are in your finest clothes.
Steve Raplee has been in the culinary business for forty years and has honed his cooking trade in several of Portland’s top restaurants, including JAKES SEAFOOD, COUCH ST. FISH HOUSE& JAZZ de OPUS, to name a few. Steve makes all of the soups and sauces from scratch. Carol Rodde has worked many different aspects of the restaurant business in her long career, including that of the waitress, hostess, and management. Some of the places in Portland where she worked include THE FISH PLACE, COUCH ST. FISH HOUSE& JAZZ de OPUS.
